In addition to a psychological evaluation, nearly all of these families are in dire need of significant educational and psychological resources in order to move in the direction of a functional relationship. In this regard, these families require significant educational-therapeutic resources such as:
Reunification counseling
Supervised visits
Parenting classes
Co-parenting classes
Therapy for sexual abuse offenders/victims
Trauma therapy
The mission of The Shortest Line is to provide funding to pay for court ordered evaluations and services so that the indigent or low-income families can be given a path forward and the best interest of the child can be served.
